GoldChartWise is an independent education blog about trading gold (XAUUSD) — written by a trader, for beginners who are tired of hype.
Why This Blog Exists
Most gold trading content online has one goal: sell you a course, a signal group, or a broker signup. The “strategies” are never tested, the screenshots are cherry-picked, and the losses are never shown.
We started GoldChartWise to do the opposite:
- Every strategy gets backtested on real historical data before we write about it — and we publish the results either way. If it fails, the article says it fails.
- No signals, no “guaranteed profit,” no Lambo screenshots. Ever.
- Beginner-first explanations. If a concept can’t be explained simply, we don’t publish it yet.
How We Test
Our process for every strategy or tool we cover:
- Code or define the exact rules — no discretion, no “feel.”
- Backtest on clean historical XAUUSD data with realistic spreads and costs.
- Check the numbers that matter: profit factor, sample size (100+ trades), maximum drawdown.
- Forward-test on a demo account before any real-money discussion.

Who Runs This Site
GoldChartWise is run by an independent retail trader who trades XAUUSD on MetaTrader 4 and documents the journey publicly — the good trades, the bad systems, and the lessons paid for in drawdown. This site is a one-person project, not a company, not a signal service, and not affiliated with any broker.
